Grant’s Whisky Grant’s is recruiting a new Global Brand Ambassador for 2018
Applications are now open for the interview of a lifetime – a 10-day world tour – launched by Grant’s Whisky as part of its search for a new Global Brand Ambassador for 2018. In a job interview like no other, three final candidates will each travel to a trio of countries, ranging from Colombia to Poland, India and South Africa equipped with a suitcase full of Grant’s to share with the friends they’re yet to meet. Grant’s is recruiting a new Global Brand Ambassador. We are looking for a charismatic, talented and passionate figurehead to continue our brand’s journey from its creation in 1887 to a whisky now enjoyed by millions across 183 countries. In 1909, Charles Grant Gordon embarked on a journey to take Grant’s Whisky to the world. In 2018, our new Global Brand Ambassador will recreate this journey.
Stage#1: Apply Now!
At Grant’s we believe it’s the journey that shapes our character, none of us have made it this far on our own. So in the first stage we’d like you to suggest a drink for all the friends you’ve not yet met. The only catch, it must include three ingredients that reveal something about your personality? Why three? Maybe it’s the three sides of our triangular bottle, or the three different woods our whisky is aged in, but threes have long been important to us.
Stage#2: ‘The Mixer’
Entries from 20 people that best represent the Grant’s brand’s motto – Stand Together – will be flown to a special event in Scotland in September. There, they’ll be set a number of challenges, competing for the chance to become one of the three ambassador finalists.
Stage #3: The Journey
Our three finalists will be given a real taste of what it’s like to be our Global Brand Ambassador, each visiting three cities around the world during an epic ten day trip this October. Armed with a suitcase of whisky, they’ll work with our local teams and influencers to organise events, meet new friends and celebrate collective achievement along the way. Each journey will be documented by a personal film-maker, with the candidate whose journey best represents the spirit of the brand awarded the job!
Overall, we are looking for someone who can be a credible and authentic figurehead for the brand around the world. The successful candidate will probably – but not necessarily – have prior experience in the drinks sector. They will have the energy, talent and drive to drive trial and retrial in a variety of markets across the world, appealing to a wide cross-section of target markets. You will be online-savvy, with an existing social media audience we can help to grow. Over 25 years old, you will speak English fluently and bring the brand stories to life in entertaining and compelling ways at scale. You’ll love to travel, embracing new cultures and behaviours, celebrating collective achievement. Overall, you’ll understand exactly what it means to #StandTogether.
